With 18 back-to-back seasons on the reef and a resume packed with monster marlin, Captain Daniel Klein is one of Australia’s elite game fishing skippers.

Daniel cut his teeth fishing with his grandfather and father before rising through the ranks under legends like Kim Andersen and Chris “Sharky” Miles. He’s spent over a decade on deck, learning every inch of the job—from engine room to flybridge.

Now the President of the Cairns Professional Game Fishing Association, Daniel brings unmatched experience, precision, and passion to Shore Thing—a 58ft Assegai vessel he helped design from the ground up for chasing giants on the Great Barrier Reef.
