Another year of hard work. Another function room with carpet and a buffet.
Not this year.
Take the team out on the harbour instead. Sunset, the Opera House on one side, the Bridge on the other. A private chef cooking on board. A crew that handles everything, so you don’t have to.
That’s a Christmas party on Shore Thing 115.
Why a boat beats a function room
Nobody leaves early. Once you push off the wharf, the party’s on until you come back. No one slips out after the first drink.
The view does the work. You don’t need theming or styling. Sydney Harbour at sunset is the backdrop.
It’s yours alone. A private charter means no other groups and no shared spaces. Just your team.
It feels like a reward. People remember the year the Christmas party was on a superyacht. That’s worth more than another gift voucher.
The boat
Shore Thing 115 is a 35-metre superyacht with room for up to 70 guests on Sydney Harbour. See the full specs.
- Aft deck and bar for drinks as the sun goes down
- Main saloon for dinner, speeches or a dance floor
- Upper decks for the best harbour views
- Jacuzzi and Ocean Beach Club if you want to take it up a notch
Your captain and marine crew are on board for every charter. Add a chef and service crew, and your team doesn’t lift a finger. Meet the crew.
What a night looks like
Here’s how a typical four-hour Christmas cruise runs:
6:00pm: Board at King Street Wharf. Welcome drinks on the aft deck as the crew casts off.
6:15pm: Cruise past the Opera House and under the Bridge. Canapés come out. Phones come out too.
7:00pm: Anchor in a quiet bay. Dinner is served. Our chefs cook on board, from grazing stations to a full sit-down meal. See the Sydney catering menu.
8:00pm: Speeches and awards. The year’s wins, with the city lights behind you.
8:30pm: Music and dancing. Bring a playlist or add a DJ.
10:00pm: Back to the wharf. Everyone home safe, still talking about it Monday.

Book early. December goes fast.
Friday nights in December are the first dates to go, and the week before Christmas fills quickly. Public holidays carry a surcharge, so a weeknight early in December is the best value.
If you’re planning for 2026, now is the time to lock it in.
