Todd - Captain

Captain Todd brings over 15 years of experience in the maritime industry, having navigated some of the world’s most iconic cruising grounds including the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Australia. Known for his fun, active, and approachable nature, Todd creates a relaxed atmosphere on board while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety. A strong and confident leader, Captain Todd is deeply safety-focused and takes pride in delivering exceptional cruising itineraries. His passion for the ocean and attention to detail ensure every journey is seamless, memorable, and filled with unforgettable moments on the water.

Casey - Engineer

Engineer Casey is a natural problem solver with an adventurous spirit and a passion for all things mechanical. Trained as a heavy diesel mechanic, Casey brings a hands-on, innovative approach to keeping every system on board running smoothly and efficiently. With over five years of marine experience and a strong sailing background, Casey is highly knowledgeable, calm under pressure, and meticulous in his work. Always approachable and proactive, he takes pride in supporting the captain and crew while ensuring guests enjoy a seamless and worry-free experience on the water.

Dan - First Officer

First Officer Dan brings a strong watersports and fishing background, with experience across a wide range of vessels from 25m to 40m. Joining Shore Thing in June 2026, Dan is a hardworking, hands-on crew member known for getting stuck into any task required and leading by example. With qualifications including AMSA Master <24m, IYT Master of Yachts 200GT, and STCW certification, Dan's experience spans deck operations, tender driving, guest safety, and vessel presentation across charter operations in Sydney and the Whitsundays. Approachable and reliable, he brings a genuine passion for life on the water to every charter.

Ruby - Chef

Chef Ruby brings a strong foundation in superyacht catering, having worked across vessels from 30m to 40m delivering private catering for guests and crew alike. Joining Shore Thing in June 2026, Ruby has a genuine focus on fresh, locally sourced produce and takes pride in catering to every guest's dietary requirements and specific requests. Trained through Intercontinental Park Lane London and the Savoy Hotel London, Ruby's background spans everything from wedding cakes and corporate event dining to live dessert stations and gourmet ice cream carts. Recognised as 2024 Cookery Apprentice of the Year, she brings genuine skill, warmth, and attention to detail to every guest experience on board.
